GREENVILLE, NC, July 22, 2010 – The gold standard of dependability has been raised. Yale Materials Handling Corporation has improved its Veracitor® VX truck series with a choice of engine options designed to deliver maximum performance with low fuel consumption, minimal noise and reduced maintenance and operating costs. The series also offers a maintenance-free, built-in, patented-design stability system. The Yale® Veracitor VX trucks’ lifting capacity ranges from 3,000 to 19,000 lbs. and offers both cushion and pneumatic tire classes.
“As a leader in materials handling, Yale has invested heavily in the research needed to raise the bar for standards of quality and dependability in lift trucks,” said J.B. Mayes, manager, product strategy – internal combustion for NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. “The unveiling of the Veracitor VX series, and the advancements that have been made, show that Yale has succeeded in raising the bar in both our trucks and the lift truck industry.”
The rugged powertrain offers durability with computer-controlled engine and transmission, robust clutch packs and stronger gears and shafts. Multiple powertrain configuration options provide improved efficiency while enhancing reliability and superior serviceability. All transmissions feature smooth electronic inching that saves money in maintenance costs by eliminating periodic adjustments.
Techtronix transmissions provide reduced tire costs, with the Controlled Power reversal feature. This feature minimizes tire spin during directional changes. The Auto Deceleration System, which comes standard with Techtronix transmissions, extends brake life by automatically slowing the truck when the accelerator pedal is released. This helps to minimize brake usage requirements and reduce overall brake maintenance costs.
With a patented design that is based on 80 years of lift truck experience, the Yale Continuous Stability Enhancement reduces truck lean in turns and improves lateral stability. Even with a reduced lean, the innovative steer axle mounting design allows for superior travel over uneven surfaces. The stability system is built into the fundamental design of the truck, not added on, and provides enhanced reliability. The noncomplex system uses no controllers, sensors or extra wiring that is present in complex electronic systems that produce faults.
